Cymbidium Erythraeum x Dayanum var Simonslanum is unusual cross between two cymbidium species.
The dayanum parent has flowers that are white with red striping whereas cymbidium erythraeum has tan coloured flowers that are suffused in red and mahogany spots and stripes.
The seller told me, they are growing this Cymbidium in relatively low light (east window equivalent). It seems to do well in both intermediate (14C night and up to 28C day) and warm (16C night and 30C day). The ranges differ from winter and summer. They water once a week in the spring/summer and once every 2 weeks in the fall and winter, though I have to water it slightly more often in the winter since my home conditions won't be dramatically different throughout the different seasons.
Likely the best exposure in a home is an east window and the plant is quite tolerant of temperature extremes.
And, of coarse, no direct sun as you will burn it.
So, Cymbidium Erythraeum x Dayanum var Simonslanum has a completely different culture compare with my others, which I bought in the Home Depote.
If you have any questions do not hesitate to ask me, and I will reply as soon as possible.
